Florida Butterfly Orchid

1 Oct

These orchids were growing wild in a park in southwest Florida. Driving into the park I never saw them, but after a friend looked up and noticed them – we saw them everywhere! Beautiful yellow orange clusters hung from the oak trees throughout the park.

I blogged about this orchid just recently on my native orchid blog:

      Hi Prem –
I wish I found more wild orchids – but I do keep looking!
