Black Mangrove

7 Sep

My husband & I often canoe around Sanibel Island. J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge is a wonderful place to paddle. We rarely see other humans, but encounter much wildlife – from manatees and dolphins to eagles and roseate spoonbills. Sometimes the mangroves emit a “buzz”  – that’s when you know the mangroves are blooming! I hear some companies are selling mangrove honey … I’ll have to try it!
