Dotted Horsemint

1 Sep

Dotted Horsemint, aka Spotted Beebalm is a great fall blooming native. They grow super easy from seed, and I have a few in my garden blooming now. My yard is shady so the plants are a bit lanky, but they bloom just as well. The humming birds and insects love the whorls of white and purple spotted flowers. It is a member of the mint family and has a nice smell when you brush by leaves.
