Vanilla Plant

11 Aug

This wonderful purple flower was found growing in a local nature park. That is a young pine tree in the background, and these Vanillaleaf (aka Vanilla Plant) plants can usually be found in pine forests. It gets it’s name from the smell of leaves – when they are picked they emit a vanilla scent.
