Florida Paintbrush

5 Aug

This flower pops up each year along a certain section of road I drive on each day. There is only this one clump of plants with no other Paintbrushes around for miles- so it’s always a treat to see the flowers.  Last year I was enjoying the blooms each day as I drove by, until one day they were gone. Seems someone decided to pull over & cut the flowers!  Uuggh – how rude – that meant no food for the butterflies & insects, and no seeds to supply a new generation.
