Pin-Cushion Flower

20 May

This little “weed” grows readily in lawns and roadsides. It is called Carpetweed or Frogfruit by many, but as kids we always called it a Pin-cushion flower. If you like butterflies you may want to leave it growing in your lawn, as it is host to several species of butterflies, including the White Peacock and Common Buckeye Butterfly.
