Yellow Mallow

13 Jun

This plant is not a native, and was found growing wild along the roadside near my home. This plant was about 5′ tall and was covered with small hibiscus like yellow flowers. It really was quite pretty – although not being a native I’m not sure how invasive it would be. Apparently it is also a source for ephedrine and can be seen on the ingredient list for various weight loss supplements.
